John Lennon Owned & Played Small Acoustic Guitar.
Offered here is an incredible guitar that was owned & played by Beatles founder John Lennon at his former home in Tittenhurst Park.
Provenance: From a renovation worker at Tittenhurst Park.
In late 1972, Tittenhurst Park was going through renovation, to be sold by Lennon. Lennon left a few items that were going to be discarded/thrown out. The items Lennon left were a pair of his glasses, some clothing, a silver tobacco tin and this guitar.
The worker was able to take this guitar and has had it since this auction. A couple years after the worker acquired the guitar from John Lennon's former home, he met a gentleman who worked with John at the studio in Tittenhurst Park. He remembered John using this guitar, even singing the song “Happy Birthday" to him, but changing the lyrics to “Flappy Girthday!"
An awesome guitar.
Good condition.
Authentication: Letter of Provenance and a Gotta Have Rock and Roll Certificate of Authenticity.
