John Lennon Owned Rajasthani Painting Displayed at his Kenwood and Tittenhurst Homes.

This Rajasthani painting, thought to be over 150 years old, was owned by John Lennon where he displayed the painting in both his Kenwood and Tittenhurst homes. According to the very detailed Certificate of Authenticity, the painting was purchased during the Beatles first visit to India in 1966, after their tour of the Philippines, and during the Beatles "psychedelic" period. John thought highly of the painting and he had it hung prominently at his home in Kenwood, St. George's Hill, Weybridge Surrey. The painting was later taken to Lennon's home Tittenhurst Park where it was subsequently gifted to Apple Records executive Alistair Taylor. According to the COA, when Lennon was moving to the U.S., Taylor helped him organize his belongings and this painting was given to Taylor.

Dimensions: 6.5 in x 9.5 in. The painting has been matted.
