John Lennon handwritten postcard sent from a vacation in Japan with wife Yoko Ono and her daughter Kyoko to Barry Nichols, John’s accountant in the UK. He sent the postcard to the Apple Offices to Barry’s Attention. The postcard is postmarked June 11th, 1971 at the Tokyo Hotel Okura which Lennon frequently visited during the summer where he would be at the pool or the bar highlander. He spent the last 4 summer years vacationing at that hotel. Lennon would even meet Yoko’s parents for the first time in that hotel in 1971. There is a lot of history between Lennon and the hotel which makes it even more special of an item. The postcard is all in Lennon’s hand and is one of his earliest drawings, and perhaps the only one that features himself, Yoko and Kyoko. Lennon writes, “Dear Bangerson Family, Hi from Buddha Land! Love John, Yoko Kyoko”. Lennon finishes the postcard with his incredible drawing. A truly one-of-a-kind item that would be a centerpiece of any collection. Very good condition. Comes with a Gotta Have Rock and Roll Certificate of Authenticity.
