Joe's Chrome Boy # 5474. This Chrome Boy is one (1) of the first six (6) guitars Ibanez gave to Joe. What makes this guitar unique is, it contains no serial number on the head stock. The neck Ibanez chose for this Chrome Boy was a 10th anniversary prototype neck. Additionally, "Ibanez had not yet figured out the back plate system so, they used whatever they had sitting around" (Joe Satriani). Starting with the 7th guitar, Ibanez began issuing serial numbers on the head stocks of Joe's guitars. There are numerous photographs of Satriani playing this guitar, or one extremely similar. Satriani signed the guitar strap in black marker, as well as the body of the guitar. Satriani signed it on “11-26-2002” after he played it at "The Grove of Anaheim". This guitar comes directly from Satriani. An amazing piece of guitar history, as you will never be able to get an authentic Ibanez JS1 "Chrome Boy" guitar played by Satriani again. Comes with the letter of provenance and a Gotta Have Rock & Roll Certificate of Authenticity. Note image "Satriani Chrome Boy 2" the guitar is signed. Joe brought this guitar back on stage for the encore.
