Jimi Hendrix Owned & Worn Carnaby Cavern Gold Fringed Shirt with Black Velvet Flowers.
This extraordinary shirt was purchased and worn by Jimi Hendrix in London, at Carnaby Cavern near Carnaby Street. The intricate red wine-colored shirt is long-sleeved, button down, wide cuffed and Mandarin-style collar, features black velvet flowers with pink leaves. There is a 9 in slit on each hip and the bottom hem has gold fringe, all the way around.
This shirt is iconic Jimi Hendrix, and according to the letter of provenance from his father Al Hendrix, the shop he bought it in, Carnaby Cavern in London, was one of his favorite clothing shops.
Size: The shirt is loose and can either be worn buttoned up (all original buttons), or loose, almost like a smoking jacket.
Condition: Very good vintage worn condition.
Authentication: Letter of provenance from Jimi's father, Al Hendrix and a Gotta Have Rock and Roll Certificate of Authenticity.
