Offered here is Jimi Hendrix's personally owned and used silver cigarette pack holder that is engraved with his initials "JH" and the year "69" on the front and "HENDRIX" at the top.
Provenance: This Jimi Hendrix owned used cigarette pack holder comes from the private collection of Irwin and Clarine Pate. Irwin Pate was a renowned booking agent and promotional manager for over four decades. He promoted talent all over the U.S. and during his career, he and his wife amassed an extraordinary collections of personal clothing and articles belonging to numerous entertainers, According to the very detailed letter of provenance from Irwin's widow Clarine Pate that accompanies this cigarette pack holder, when traveling on concert tours Irwin would often obtain these article from both tour crew members and venue staff. This engraved cigarette pack holder was found by a venue employee after a Jimi Hendrix concert along with a ring that Jimi left behind. Several years later, the employee gave them both to Irwin and it has been in the Pate collection ever since..
