Jimi Hendrix Owned & Played 1960’s 3 Tone Sunburst Japanese Guitar - Used by Hendrix During Curtis Knight & The Squires Era.
Offered here is an incredible guitar which was owned and used by Jimi Hendrix before he became famous.
Provenance: From the collection of Mike Quashie. Matthew "Michael" Quashie was known as the Limbo King and was an early champion of the young Hendrix, often letting him crash at his Bedford St. apartment in Greenwich Village, New York City, which became known as “Jimi’s Hideaway” after Hendrix’s death. It is believed that it was Quashie who influenced Hendrix's "voo-doo" and fire aspects of his persona. Quashie acquired this guitar directly from Jimi Hendrix.
Per Quashie, “Jimi had no money at the time as he was borrowing from me to live. He did not have enough funds to purchase guitars and/or equipment. It wasn’t until a year or so later that I remember Carol Shiroky bought him his first Fender Stratocaster”.
An incredible opportunity to own a guitar owned & played by Jimi Hendrix.
Fair condition.
Authentication: Real Game Used (RGU) Letter of Authenticity, a Mike Quashie Letter of Authenticity and a Gotta Have Rock and Roll Certificate of Authenticity.
