A rare set of working lyrics in Jimi Hendrix's hand for the song “Crosstown Traffic”, 1968, the 26 lines written in black ballpoint pen on two sheets of yellow notepaper, the lyrics representing the first verse of the song and chorus and a working, unused version of the second verse with deletions as Hendrix worked out the song's wording “It wouldn't be so bad, If I'm the only one you...A little advice my friend, This race you just can't win, I know that I'm not just the only one you try - To hitch up on a ride, Those tire [sic] marks on your back and even a few scooter tracks, Shows me you didn't just get from just sleeping on the road side, shows me I ain't the only”. Originally from the collection of Red Ronnie. One of Hendrix’s most iconic songs, making this an incredible piece of memorabilia. One page has a reproduction of the lyrics before fading on the back of it. The lyrics have faded. Comes with a James Spence Authentication (JSA) Letter of Authenticity and a Gotta Have Rock & Roll Certificate of Authenticity.
