These are Jim Morrison’s handwritten working lyrics for “Love Her Madly” — The Doors’ smash hit and lead single off of their 1971 album “L.A. Woman.” As working lyrics, they were used by Morrison to iron out the words and tune that he would turn into one of The Doors’ most memorable songs. “Love Her Madly” was one of The Doors’ most commercially successful songs and even charted at Number 1 in the United States Billboard Top 100. Morrison is regarded as one of the most influential and iconic figures of the counterculture movement. Both for his poetic lyricism and one-of-a-kind on stage persona, Morrison is one of rock’s most distinguished frontmen. “L.A. Woman” was The Doors’ final album with Morrison, as he tragically died just months after its release while in Paris. Very Good condition. Each page measures 8.5 x 14.
