Janis Joplin Owned & Stage Worn Turquoise Sterling Bracelet. From the personal collection of renowned booking agent and promotional manager Irwin Pate. For over four decades Irwin Pate promoted talent all over the United States and internationally. During his career he and his wife Clarine obtained a large collection of personal clothing and articles belonging to numerous entertainers. Irwin knew Janis and worked with her on a a few occasions. During one of their meetings, Irwin told Janis about his collections and she gave him some items for his collection, including this colorful beaded bell bracelet. According to the letter that accompanies the lot, Janis had previously worn the bracelet in concert. Condition: Good, vintage worn. Authenticity: Letter of provenance from Irwin Pate's late wife Clarine Pate on Pate company letterhead and a Gotta Have Rock and Roll Certificate of Authenticity.
