James Dean Rare Signed "Crime Syndicate" 1952 CBS Television Contract.

James Dean has signed this May 5, 1952 contract with CBS Television to appear on the TV series "Crime Syndicate" in ink, adding his social security and his telephone number in his own hand.

The contract is for an episode to air on May 13, 1952, guaranteeing he would have at least five lines of dialogue, expected to work 18.5 hours and would be paid $162.50.

Prior to achieving super-stardom in the movies, Dean appeared on numerous TV shows. This rare document comes from the estate of Jane Deacy who was Dean's long-time agent (she worked for the Lester Shurr Agency) and surrogate mother figure in his life.

Dimensions: A two-page contract (back to back) measuring 8.5 x 11 inches.

Condition: Very Good, with a very, very tiny tear on the lower right corner, not affecting Dean's signature or handwriting in any way.

Authentication: James Spence Authentication (JSA) Letter of Authenticity and a Gotta Have Rock and Roll Certificate of Authenticity. Also comes with an 8" x 10" color photograph of James Dean.
