James Brown Owned & Worn Red Wine Embroidered Scarf With Fringe

An elegant red-wine colored silky scarf with embroidered design and fringe that was owned and worn by James Brown. This scarf comes from the personal collection of renowned booking agent Irwin Pate who worked for decades with many, many acts all over the world, including James Brown. Irwin, and his wife Clarine, built a significant collection of stage and personally worn clothing and accessories from the acts they worked with over the years. James Brown gifted this jacket to Irwin, who was his exclusive booking and promotional manager from the late 1960's until the early 1980's. In addition to handling his bookings and promotions, Irwin was also a close personal friend of James Brown, and Brown gave him some of his personal clothing and belongings over the years.

Dimensions: 14 in x 47 in.

Condition: Good condition, with some light vintage wear. Comes with a letter of provenance from Irwin Pate's widow Clarine and a Gotta Have Rock and Roll Certificate of Authenticity.
