James Brown's owned and worn mustard yellow, long-sleeved, button-down shirt made by Lew Magram "shirt maker to the stars" in New York City. James Brown gifted the jacket to Irwin Pate, his exclusive booking and promotional manager for fourteen years, from the late 1960's until the early 1980's. In addition to handling his bookings and promotions, Irwin was also a close personal friend of James Brown, and Brown gave him some of his personal clothing and belongings over the years. Very good condition. Comes with a letter of provenance from Irwin Pate's widow on "James Brown Productions" letterhead and a Gotta Have Rock & Roll™ Certificate of Authenticity.
