J.R. Smith Game-Used & Signed 1/11/13 New York Knicks Jersey & Shorts.
J.R. Smith was a well-traveled, journeyman point guard and shooting guard in the NBA who played for six different teams during the course of his 16 seasons in the league. Standing 6’ 6” tall, he helped two teams win NBA titles: Cleveland in 2016 and the L.A. Lakers in 2020. In both instances he was playing alongside LeBron James. Offered here is a game-used and signed New York Knicks home uniform (jersey and shorts) that Smith wore on January 11, 2013, during a 108-101 defeat to the Chicago Bulls at Madison Square Garden.
The home white mesh jersey with orange and Royal blue trim around the collar and arm openings reads “NEW YORK” across the chest in orange tackle twill outlined in Royal blue with his uniform number “8” appearing underneath in perforated orange tackle twill outlined in Royal blue. The NBA Logoman patch is embroidered on the jersey's upper left chest. The proper Adidas size “L” tag with an NBA AUTHENTICS logo and “climacool” is sewn on the bottom left front tail. The Adidas tag has a “LENGTH +2” flag and an additional “EVERY PLAYER EVERY GAME (NKN 01255 )” tag is sewn to the left of the Adidas label. The back shows “SMITH” sewn in Royal blue tackle twill letters with his uniform number “8” appearing below in perforated orange tackle twill outlined in Royal blue below his name. A two-color Knicks basketball logo is embroidered just below the middle of the back collar. The corresponding white shorts with Royal blue and orange trim shows the Knicks team logo embroidered on the left front thigh area with the NBA Logoman patch embroidered on the right thigh. The proper Adidas manufacturer’s tag (XL, Length +2) appears on the inside rear waistline with handwritten identifiers from the game in black marker. Smith has signed both garments (back of the jersey, front of the shorts) in black marker and added “Game Used” and “1/11/13” after each signature. The jersey and shorts are properly tagged, were presented to us as game-used and in our opinion show appropriate use.
