Offered here is Ivan Lendl’s owned & 1986 US Open Tournament used Adidas GTX Racquet. The racquet is pro stock, custom sized with the Bosworth number “WH#12703” and “04486”. The grip is custom reverse pigskin suede. The 1986 US Open was a tennis tournament played on outdoor hard courts at the USTA National Tennis Center in New York City in New York in the United States. It was the 106th edition of the US Open and was held from August 26 to September 7, 1986. Lendl defending his championship by defeating Miloslav Mecír in the finals. The significance of this racquet cannot be understated, with it being used during one of the most iconic tournament runs of Ivan Lendl. The racquet was used at the 1986 US Open and given to former Tennis Professional Vince Schmidt. Vince Schmidt has been a tennis professional for over 30 years and runs the Jensen-Schmidt Tennis Academy for Down Syndrome with former tennis professionals Luke and Murphy Jensen. Through his playing and his academy, Schmidt has played with all of the biggest tennis professionals. Schmidt obtained this racquet directly from Lendl at the 1986 US Open. A very unique item.
