Incredible Vintage Salvation Army Archive (20+ incl General George C. Marshall Signed Letter)

An historic archive of vintage materials related to the Salvation Army. More than twenty items are presented, including letters to Evangeline Booth (the first woman to hold the post of General of the Salvation Army (1934-1939). One letter is signed by General George C. Marshall (Chief of Staff of the US Army under Presidents Franklin D. Roosevelt and Harry S. Truman). Several letters to various recipients are signed by Edward Higgins (Evangeline’s predecessor and third General of the Salvation Army 1929-1934). Archive also includes unsigned file copies of letters made to President Franklin Roosevelt and President Harry Truman; a couple of photographs of Evangeline Booth and several photographs of her funeral (1950) among other items making up this interesting archive.
