Helen Hayes Autograph Archive Signed Contract and Signed Checks

An autograph archive of Helen Hayes, renowned actress of theatre and film whose career spanned more than 80 years. Nicknamed the “First Lady of American Theatre,” Hayes was the first person to win the Triple Crown of Acting (an Emmy, a Grammy, an Oscar, and also a Tony Award). This collection includes nineteen signed checks, a couple of signed dining receipts, a signed letter typed on her stationery dated December 17, 1955 indicating she was “…not on the market to consider another play,” and a signed AFTRA Contract dated September 9, 1962.
