Grateful Dead Signed 1983 Summer Tour Itinerary (REAL).
Here's a special signed item for Grateful Dead fans, coming directly from band insider Billy Kelly. This stapled summer tour itinerary is signed by all five band members (plus special comments by four of them) along with additional signatures, all in ballpoint ink (in various colors). There is a signature and comments by LSD King, Owsley "Bear" Stanley. Plus it is signed by members' wives Shelly Krutzman and Jill Lesh, as well as lifelong roadies Ramrod, Steve Parish, Bill "Kidd"Candelario, one-time manager Danny Rifkin, stage manager Roby Taylor, sound engineer Harry Popock, and owner of UltraSound Howard Danchek.
This gives you a rare and brief insight into the minds of the musicians and their inner circle of friends.
There was a loud knock on the front door. Billy Kelly was the unlucky one who answered it, resulting in his head being greeted by a metal pipe. As he lay on the floor in a pool of blood with a fractured skull, he could hear the intruders demanding to know "Where are the frickin' drugs?" Just then a housemate burst out of a bedroom door, guns a-blazin' and all hell broke loose! Billy was conscious enough to crawl over to a sliding glass door, leading onto the second story balcony. With bullets flying, he jumped from the balcony, landing on the ground with a loud "THUD!"
After multiple surgeries and 30 days in the hospital, Billy was released and given the '83 Grateful Dead tour itinerary full of well wishes and signed by the entire Grateful Dead Family, his extended family.
