George Harrison owned and played tambourine. From the collection of the late Irwin Pate who passed away in May 2018. Irwin was a renowned booking agent and promotional manager for over four decades. He promoted talent all over the United States and Internationally and during his career he and his wife Clarine obtained a large collection of personal clothing and articles belonging to numerous entertainers. Irwin knew George Harrison, they had met several times and Irwin booked and promoted a s few of George's shows. During one of their meetings Irwin told George about his collection and George then gifted Irwin a few items, including this well-used tambourine that he no longer needed. The tambourine has been in the Pate's collection since that time. George is pictured here with a similar tambourine, on top of his head - true George humor! Very good, vintage condition. Comes with a letter of authenticity from Irwin Pate's widow, Clarine Pate on the Pate company letterhead, and a Gotta Have Rock & Roll Certificate of Authenticity.
