Correspondence file consisting mostly of letters to Frederick Huff Payne on the occasion of his 80th Birthday celebrated in 1956. Payne was the United States Assistant Secretary of War from 1930-1933 under President Herbert Hoover. Letters represent an array of individuals pertaining to politics, business and military. Among the correspondence are letters from: Willard Rockwell (founder Rockwell International), Joe Spang (Chairman. The Gillette Company), Frank Higgins (Asst. Secretary of the Navy), Charles Hodges (President American Mutual Liability Insurance Company), Charles. Douglas Jackson (Sr Executive TIME, Inc. and psychological warfare expert), Charles Adams Jr. (President of Raytheon Manufacturing), Stanley Hope (President Esso Standard Oil Company, Signed “Stan”), and Major General W.K. Harrison. 8.5 X 11, few smaller. Good condition.
