Offered here is an incredible 1962 Fender Reissue Stratocaster that has been signed and played onstage by Eric Clapton. The guitar comes from a musician who met Clapton on April 22nd, 1987. Right before his concert at the Joe Louis Arena in Detroit Michigan. Clapton asked to borrow his guitar, and he played it during the concert. Afterwards, Clapton went to an afterparty with around 50 people, to which he played the guitar for a “private performance”. The private party was on top of the Pontchartain in Detroit. Phil Collins even attended. Clapton promised to return the guitar to the owner the next day. The next day, Clapton met up with the owner of the guitar, signed it, as well as several other people who attended the party, and Clapton even said it was “One of the best guitars he’s ever played”. An incredible opportunity to buy a guitar that Clapton played and signed during an iconic time in his career. Good condition. Comes with a Letter of Provenance, a Roger Epperson (REAL) Letter of Authenticity and a Gotta Have Rock & Roll Certificate of Authenticity.
