This Elvis Presley original 1977 vintage gold record award of "Way Down," presented to RCA records by BMI, was acquired from the estate of renowned music collector and former record executive, Stan Levindowsky. The award measures 12 x 15, with the gold 7inch 45-rpm record and the RCA record label. One of few to ever be available on the open marketplace. It is in its original format, except the brown paper backing was brittle and torn. The backing has since been professionally replaced with new brown framing paper. The gold record and label still has a vibrant appearance, and obviously has not been exposed to sunlight. However, it does show its age, with a couple of minor scratches on the frame The plaque has moved within frame. Measures 12 x 15. Comes with a certificate of authenticity and a Gotta Have Rock & Roll™ Certificate of Authenticity.
