Elvis Presley stage used custom Electro Voice microphone, with Elvis' name engraved on it, was used by Elvis throughout the 1970's for both live performances and for studio recording. The microphone originally came from the collection of Charlie Hodge, and according to Charlie Hodge there are many photographs of Elvis using this microphone. Charlie was with a group called the Foggy Mountain River Boys when he first met and worked with Elvis. Charlie and Elvis met again when they went off to Germany in the U.S. Army. Elvis and Charlie were good friends and Charlie lived at Graceland in a converted apartment Elvis made for him and he lived there until Elvis passed away in 1977. Charlie was Elvis' stage director and sang harmony on stage with him, he took care of Elvis' guitars and his microphones, and handed Elvis his scarves. He also helped him with the set lists for the shows and appeared as an extra in many of his films. The microphone is accompanied by an actual 1972 Las Vegas Hilton Souvenir Menu with a picture of Elvis using this model of microphone. The menu measures approximately 11" in diameter. Very good condition. The microphone also comes with a letter from Charlie Hodge and a Gotta Have Rock & Roll® Certificate of Authenticity.
