Elvis Presley Signed German Original "Jailhouse Rock" Publicity Postcard.
Elvis Presley has signed this MGM Publicity black and white picture postcard in blue ballpoint pen, on the front. The card was produced in Germany, and there is handwriting, in an unkown hand with Elvis Presley and his house address in Germany off the base when when he was deployed there in the U.S. Army.
Elvis served in the United States Army from 1958 to 1960 after being drafted to serve in the military as an active duty soldier for two years. At the time of his enlistment, he was widely regarded as the most well-known name in the world of entertainment. "Jailhouse Rock" had already been released, as a single, a hit movie, and the movie's soundtrack, in 1957,
Provenance: From the collection of Eddie Hammer. Eddie Hammer was a writer for Goldmine and Discoveries magazines. He was a paid guest speaker at many of the Elvis Conventions in Memphis and all over the world. He had one of the largest Elvis Presley collections in the world prior to his death.
