From the personal collection of renowned booking agent and promotional manager for over four decades, Irwin Pate, and his widow Clarine Pate, this is Elvis Presley's owned and used large, elaborate wooden jewelry box, with various drawers and compartments.
Irwin Pate promoted talent all over the U.S. and during his career he and his wife obtained a large collection of personal clothing and articles belonging to numerous entertainers. According to the detailed letter of provenance that accompanies this jewelry box, Irwin knew Elvis Presley and was also good friends with his manager, Colonel Tom Parker. Irwin worked with Elvis and the Colonel several times over the years, and after Elvis tragically passed away, the Colonel gifted and sold Irwin some articles that belonged to Elvis. Included in these items was this beautiful wood jewelry box.
