Elvis Presley Owned, Worn & Signed Kenpo Karate Studio Patch
This "Kenpo Karate" patch features a tiger and a dragon, which has been signed by Elvis Presley in a black felt tip pen.
Provenance: From the collection of Ed Parker. Karate was an important part of Elvis Presley’s life in the early ‘70s and Ed Parker was an instrumental friend and teacher to Elvis in this art. Ed Parker founded American Kenpo karate based on the original art that he learned in Hawaii. The art is primarily a form of combat self-defense maneuvers, typically using circular motions, that results in a never-ending series of strikes to your opponent.
The consignor obtained this patch from Ed Parker in the 1970’s. Parker stated it was Elvis’ personal patch and it was signed by him.
Good, worn condition.
