Considered the rarest of Elvis Presley's Sun Studio recordings, these two 10" 78rpm Sun acetates recordings, "Milkcow Blues Boogie" and "You're a Heartbreaker" were recorded by Presley at the Sun Studio in Memphis, Tennessee, December 8, 1954, during the same session. They were released together in January 1955. It was at the Sun Studio that Presley made his first recordings (starting in 1953), and received his first break. By the end of 1955, Presley had a manager, "Colonel" Tom Parker, and a new recording contract with RCA, who bought Presley's Sun contract for $35,000. These acetates are extremely rare as Elvis made only 20 recordings at Sun and of those only 18 have survived. Excellent condition. Estimate $6,000-$8,000.
