Elvis Presley's 1972 owned and worn silver and turquoise cross with his name "ELVIS", "1972" and "Albuquerque" engraved on the back.. From the collection of the late Irwin Pate who passed away in May 2018. Irwin was a renowned booking agent and promotional manager for over four decades. He promoted talent all over the United States and Internationally and during his career he and his wife Clarine obtained a large collection of personal clothing and articles belonging to numerous entertainers. Irwin knew Elvis Presley and he was also good friends with his manager Colonel Tom Parker. Irwin worked with Elvis and the Colonel several times over the years before Elvis passed away. After Elvis passed away the Colonel gifted and sold Irwin some articles that belonged to Elvis including this large silver and turquoise cross. According to the Colonel, it had been given to Elvis by a Native American fan when Elvis performed in Albuquerque, New Mexico in 1972. It has been in the Pate's collection since it was obtained from the Colonel. Very good vintage condition. Comes with a letter of authenticity from Irwin Pate's widow, Clarine Pate on the Pate company letterhead and a Gotta Have Rock & Roll Certificate of Authenticity.
