This green towel dress/robe was owned and worn by Diana Ross after one of her concerts The dress/robe has 3/4 sleeves with fringe and zips up the front.
Provenance: This dress comes from the personal collection of renowned booking agent and promotional manager for over four decades, the late Irwin Pate, and his wife Clarine Pate.Irwin promoted talent all over the U.S., and during his career he and his wife amassed an impressive collection of personal clothing and articles belonging to numerous entertainers. According to the detailed letter of provenance from Clarine, when traveling, Irwin often would obtain may of these items from both tour cre3w members and venue staff. This green floral towel dress/robe was left behind by Diana Ross in her dressing room after a concert in the 1970's. A venue employee found it and kept it as a memento, subsequently giving it to Irwin for his collection, and it has been in their collection every since.
