A lot of five personal snapshots of legendary Def Leppard drummer Rick Allen. The shots depict Rick Allen in their private touring plane, his absurd stage drum set and a private picture of him with Huye Lewis at his hotel room. Huye Lewis and Rick Allen became good friends. Rick Allen and Miriam Barendsen visited his house in San Francisco and spend some quality time together. An incredible lot of photographs owned by Rick and Miriam. Partial proceeds from the sale of this lot will be donated to the Baladi Foundation, an animal rescue organization that works with and supports animal rescuers in Egypt to save homeless Baladi cats and dogs who were honored once but so abused in current time. They are in need of immediate help on the streets. The foundation was co-founded by Miriam Barendsen, Rick Allen's girlfriend throughout the 1980's, who was in the car with Rick when the tragic accident occurred resulting in the amputation of his arm. The funds raised by the Baladi Foundation are used in many ways to help the vulnerable Baladi animals in Egypt including: Purchasing of food, providing financial support for on-the-ground organizations and other volunteers, sterilization (spaying and neutering), veterinary care, adoption and fostering, awareness campaigns, field operations, animal ambulance service, relocation of animals to countries outside of Egypt.
