Davy Crockett’s Personal Gavel.
The wood gavel that once belonged to Davy Crockett is original with a vintage label from what appears to be a Texas museum. The label dates from the mid-19th century and reads, "Crockett Mementoes. On Last Monday the House of Representatives at Austin received a gavel made from Davy Crockett's old home in Tennessee and two walking sticks made from an apple tree planted by the hero's own hands. These mementoes of the man who gave his life for Texans and Texas independence will be kept in the department of statistics and history at Austin."
The piece came from one of the top historical dealers in America.
