David Bowie handwritten and signed unreleased poem, written to "Little Claudine". Handwritten and signed by Bowie, with the date "'99" in red fiber-tip marker, measures 8 x 10.5. Accompanied by a very large lock of David Bowie's hair. The poem and lock of hair have a very interesting backstory. "Little Claudine" is Claudine Pascal, who was the manager of Chunga King Recording Studios in New York City for four years when Bowie came to record there for four days in the red room. Bowie brought a stylist with him who cut his hair, and Claudine gladly cleaned up afterword, and kept the cut hair that had fallen to the floor. Claudine was a huge fan of Bowie's, and Bowie hand-wrote and signed this poem for her, after she had gotten him to read her own poetry. Very good condition. Bowie's hair and the handwritten and signed poem come directly from Claudine Pascal, and along with her detailed, two-page, handwritten and signed letter of provenance, Claudine has included a copy of her poem that he read that night, as well as his comment to her after he read it, a rather vulgar sexual reference that threw Claudine for a loop, so she wrote the response down. Also comes with a James Spence Authentication (JSA) Letter of Authenticity and a Gotta Have Rock and Roll Certificate of Authenticity.
