Cy Young has signed this 3.5 x 5.5 original vintage black and white photograph, "Cy Young Hunting in Wisconsin", in black steel-tip fountain pen. Young amassed a record 511 wins during a career that spanned 22 years (1890-1911), with five different teams. Playing for the Boston Americans (Red Sox) Young threw out the first pitch in World Series history when they won the 1903 World Championship. Among his other career highlights, Young pitched a perfect game in 1904 and pitched three no-hitters in his career. Young was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1937 and one year after the Cy Young Award was established in his honor to recognize each season’s best major league pitcher. Very good condition with minor tape residue at corners and a very slight tear in upper margin of photograph. Comes with a James Spence Authenticity (JSA) Letter of Authenticity and a Gotta Have Rock & Roll™ Certificate of Authenticity.
