Crosby Stills & Nash Signed Gibson J-180 Acoustic Guitar Played by David Crosby.

David Crosby, Stephen Stills and Graham Nash have all signed this Gibson J-180 Acoustic Guitar in a silver sharpie. When signing the guitar, David Crosby liked the guitar so much he played a few songs on it.

Per the consignor, the story is: “Crosby Stills and Nash are one of my favorite groups. I had met David a few times and done business with Graham and Stephen. David and Graham are incredibly friendly, but Stephen, as in all of my experiences with him, was pretty stand-offish. David loved the guitar that I had them sign, and tuned and played it. I wasn’t sure that I was going to get it back. He played Lee Shore and Graham joined in on harmony. It was a transcendental moment for me.”

Provenance: From the collection of a former Music Executive. Lots 76 to 100 and Lots 499 to 803 in this auction are consigned by one vendor, who worked with and met various artists from 1985-1992. All the items were personally obtained by the vendor. This is the best in-person collection we have ever handled as an auction company.

Good condition.
