A vast collection of more than 200 political related signatures signed on more than 40 FDC envelopes. Many envelopes are multi-signed including by members of The 1977 Business Council; 12 Members of the Armed Service Committee including Senators Harry Byrd, Gary Hart and John Tower; Several envelopes signed by Cabinet members of different administrations including the administrations of Harry S. Truman, Lyndon B. Johnson, FDR, Gerald Ford, Dwight D. Eisenhower and John F. Kennedy; 13 Members of the Gov’t Operations Committee including John Glenn; 5 female Federal Court Judges including Sarah T. Hughes and several envelopes signed by other Federal judges and Court Aides including US Supreme Court judges Stanley Reed, William O’Douglas, Arthur Goldberg, and Abe Fortas; 8 CIA Directors and Deputy Directors including George Bush; 17 Democratic members of the House Committee on Science & Technology (94th Congress) including Henry Waxman, Christopher Dodd and Richard Ottinger. Envelopes signed by a single signer include signatures of George Bush, Mamie Eisenhower, Bess Truman, Sarah T. Hughes (Only woman to swear in US President – Lyndon Johnson on board Air Force One after the Kennedy assassination), John Sirica (Watergate) and Telford Taylor (Prosecutor Nuremberg trials). Several signatures present on 3 X 5 cards included beyond the count of FDC envelopes. An interesting collection that deserves further review.
