This dress was worn by the character "Shirley Feeney" portrayed by Cindy Williams in the classic television show “Laverne and Shirley”, 1976-1983. The fitted green silk sleeveless dress with green sequin trim at bust line, straps and rear bow has no label but was acquired direct from Paramount Studios wardrobe department. Ms. Williams wore the custom made gown in S03 E24 "Breaking Up and Making Up: Edna & Frank". After Frank (Phil Foster) and Edna (Betty Garrett) break up over Frank's jealousy, Laverne and Shirley decide to try and save the relationship by hosting an intimate dinner for the pair at the apartment. Laverne dressed as a waitress is the server and Shirley is the entertainment, singing and playing the piano dress as a lounge act singer. A video can be seen here: https://youtu.be/eXqoH1IXgjs. “Laverne and Shirley” was nominated for four Golden Globes over the course of its seven-year run, and costume designer Al Lehman received an Emmy Award nomination for Outstanding Costume Design For a Series in 1979.

The costume is in good vintage screen worn condition and is accompanied by a letter of authenticity, photos of Ms. Williams wearing the dress, a Golden Closet Certificate of Authenticity and a Gotta Have Rock & Roll™ Certificate of Authenticity.
