Rare signed and inscribed photograph of C. R. Smith (Cyrus Rowlett Smith) as President and Director of American Airlines. During World War II Smith served as the wartime deputy commander of the Air Transport Command achieved the rank of Major General.

In 1968 Smith left American Airlines to become the US Secretary of Commerce under President Lyndon B. Johnson.
