"Mr. Tambourine Man" is perhaps Bob Dylan's most iconic song. These are Dylan's handwritten and signed working lyrics for the song. Written on two pages in graphite pencil, Dylan has signed the first page "Bob Dylan" in the upper right corner, and the title "Tambourine Man" on the upper right corner of the second page. Written by Dylan in early 1964, Dylan first performed the song at London's Royal Festival Hall on May 17, 1964. The first time Dylan recorded the song was in June 1964, during the sessions for "Another Side of Bob Dylan" but he didn't officially release it until it appeared on his 1965 album "Bringing It All Back Home". In overall very good condition, considering the age of these pages, there is some wear including a few tears along the edges. The first page has a very small tear to the right of the second line, which has been repaired on the verso with tape, and page two has two taped repairs, the first at the top left, and the second below the handwritten lyrics where there is nothing written. To hold these pages in your hands is to hold rock and roll history - to read the words with Dylan's annotations is to see and feel a genius at work! Comes with a James Spence Authentication (JSA) Letter of Authenticity and a Gotta Have Rock and Roll Certificate of Authenticity.
