Biggie Smalls original black and white mug shots from when he was arrested in 1995 outside a small nightclub in the suburbs of Philadelphia, accompanied by his handwritten note. Biggie sent his mug shots and the note to the sister of a corrections officer who was working at the jail the night he was arrested. that night at the jail. Biggie was chatting with the corrections officer who told him that his sister Megan loved his song "Big Poppa" and was always singing it. Biggie couldn't get over how this girl knew and loved his song so much when he wasn't even that famous yet so the next day he called her, they sang the song together and chatted and he told her he would send her his mug shots and a note because they might be worth something someday. His note, handwritten in black ink reads, "To Megan, Much Love, "Thanks 4 the Phone Call" B.I.G." The mugs shots measure 3.5 x 2 (attached, one image)are attached to the note which measures 5 x 8.5. Very good condition. Comes with a notarized letter of provenance from Megan and a Gotta Have Rock & Roll™ Certificate of Authenticity.
