Rare Apollo 8 launch access pass to the Dependent Viewing Area to witness the launch of the historic Apollo 8 mission. Apollo 8 was the first crewed spacecraft to leave Earth’s gravitational sphere of influence and the first human spaceflight to reach the Moon. Apollo 8 astronauts Frank Borman, James Lovell and William Anders became the first humans to see and photograph the far side of the Moon and an Earthrise. The launch took place on December 21, 1968 and was the FIRST human spaceflight from the Kennedy Space Center, adjacent to Cape Kennedy Air Force Station in Florida. The laminated badge bears the Serial No. 450 on verso where a Warning notice describing authorized use appears.
