1994 Diego Maradona Player-Worn Argentina National Team World Cup Uniform - Worn During Controversial Press Conference

Pull Over style jersey, Knit Material, Crest ARGENTINA Logo. Size 22 Chest and Size 28 Torso.

Provenance: From the collection of Juan Carlos Marenda. Juan Carlos Marenda was a former teammate of Maradona’s for the Argentina Junior’s as well as being the Vice-President of Adidas. Diego Maradona gave this jersey to Marenda after the 1994 World Cup. This model was worn during the 1994 World Cup Press Conferences by Maradona.

During the 1994 World Cup, Maradona played in just two games before doping tests found ephedrine in his urine sample. He was kicked out of World Cup play and again suspended for 15 months. This jersey was worn during the press conference announcing his ban. You can see tons of reporters flocking to Maradona, who seems very upset about the outcome.

Good condition.

Authentication: MEARS Letter of Authenticity, Juan Carlos Marenda Letter of Authenticity and a Gotta Have Rock and Roll Certificate of Authenticity.
