This rare football flexichrome was used in the production of the Matt Snell 1964 Topps football card (Rookie). This uniquely beautiful process of creating cards from flexichromes was used by Topps for a short period of time, ending in the early 1960s whereby meticulous color paintings were painted over black and white photographs. Snell was the 1964 AFL Rookie of the Year and was a key player in the New York Jets Super Bowl III win over the much heavily favored Baltimore Colts. Very good condition. 3.25 X 4.75. Comes with a Gotta Have Rock and Roll Certificate of Authenticity and a Certificate from the 1989 Topps Auction.
