First year program from the Houston Colt .45s who were an National League expansion team in 1962 as were the New York Mets that season. The program remains unscored with line-ups remaining blank for a game versus the Chicago Cubs (quite possibly the very FIRST Colt .45’s game). The Colt 45s played their first game at Colt Stadium on April 10, 1962. The 45’s popular star player was Rusty Staub. Three years later the team adopted their current name of the Houston Astros.
