1849 City of New York Public Works Resolution Signed by Mayor William Havemeyer
Lease deed for property obtained at auction for unpaid taxes signed by New York Street Commissioner, the Commissioner of Deeds and also by New York City Mayor, William Frederick Havemeyer. Havemeyer served threwe times as Mayor of New York City (1845-46, 1848-49 and 1873-74). The two-sided document bears the City of New York seal countersigned by the City Clerk.
