1750s Colonial Epistle to Friends

Three Mid 1700s religious documents. Two are four page folded, one titled “An Epistle to Friends in Maryland, Virginia, Barbados and the other Colonies, and Islands in the West-Indies, where any Friends are” and the other, “An Epistle From Our General Spring Meeting of Ministers and Elders for Pennsylvania, from the 29th of the Third Month, to the 1st of the Fourth Month, inclusive, 1755.” The former is signed in type by John Bell and the latter signed in type by Jacob Howell, James Bartram, Joseph White, John Scarbrough, John Woolman, Josiah Foster, Joseph Tomlinson, John Evans, Mordecai Yarnall, Daniel Stanton, John Churchman, William Morris, Isaac Andrews, and Samuel Abbott.” The third document is a report titled, “To The Quarterly and Monthly Meetings of Friends in Great Britain, Ireland and America.”

Dimensions: The largest page measures 8.5 X 13.

Condition: Fair condition, paper exhibits some repair with archival tape.
