An original "Wanted" poster for Fracisco (Pancho) Villa by the Chief of Police in Columbus, Mexico. The Proclamation offers a $5,000 reward for Pancho Villa and states "Any informaiton leading to his apprehension will be rewarded." Dated March 9, 1916, this poster was issued after Villa's raid that same month in Columbus. U.S. General Pershing pursued Villa for 9 months, ending unsuccessfully when the U.S. entered into World War I forcing the General to be called back. Villa was assassinated in 1923 when he became re-involved in Mexican politics. Comes with a Gotta Have Rock & Roll™ Certificate of Authenticity.
