This awesome vintage point of sale "motion display" advertises the Beatles first album on Capital Records in the U.S., “Meet The Beatles,” released February, 1964. The cardboard display measures 31" x 25.5" x 7,” and was designed for battery operation to mechanically move the heads of Paul, Ringo, George and John which stand out from the 23" x 17” central black and white picture of the Beatles. The head of the sign reads “Meet The Beatles, Rock to Their Incredible First Album,” alongside the Capital Records logo. To the left of their picture the sign reads “3 Million Beatles Records Already Sold in England,” and on the right, “contains the smash single - “I Want To Hold Your Hand,” and “I Saw Her Standing There.” This window display was designed for, and delivered to record stores in February, 1964 by Capital Records as part of a national merchandising campaign. Very few copies survived Beatlemania, making it one of the rarest of all Beatles memorabilia/promotional items. In very good condition overall with normal signs of soiling and wear from age. Estimate: $30,000 - $40,000.
