An original New York Giants home uniform worn by Slick Castleman who pitched for the Giants from 1934 to 1939. The jersey is stitch dated 1938 and Castleman's name is stitched on the inside waist of the pants that are stitch dated 1939. Castleman pitched against the New York Yankees in the 1936 World Series and he was the last winning pitcher at the historic Philadelphia Baker Bowl stadium, home to the Phillies from 1887-1938, on June 30, 1938. That day the Phillies lost big to the Giants, 14-1. Perhaps it was payback for the first game ever played at that stadium on April 30, 1887 when the Phillies beat the Giants 19-10! Comes with a Gotta Have Rock & Roll™ Certificate of Authenticity.
