This is the original Marcus Boas "Helen of Troy" artwork that he used for the cover of the Vol. II No.7 November 1978 edition of Heavy Metal magazine. This beautiful 20 x 30 painting is signed and dated "Marcus 1982" in the lower left corner. Considered among the very best in fantasy illustration, Marcus has worked for a wide range of magazines from the horror favorite Castle of Frankenstein to the ever-popular Heavy Metal. He's also done movie posters and paperback covers, and even produced his own magazine, Heroic Fantasy. This original "Helen of Troy" painting is in very good condition.
