This beautiful 1960’s "Dandie Fashions of London" jacket was custom made and personally owned and worn by Jimi Hendrix. The jacket was gifted by Hendrix to Luther Rabb who founded the horn rock group “Ballin’ Jack” in Seattle in 1969 and who as a teenager grew up with Hendrix in Seattle and played saxophone with The Velvetones; Hendrix’s very first band in 1958. Hendrix later played with Rabb on numerous occasions including appearing together with Ballin’ Jack. The jacket’s rose color fabric is adorned with a pattern design and floral accents and is styled with a rear center vent and four button closure on front. The inside jacket lining is torn in the areas of the neck, shoulders and arms, and wrists. The outside of the jacket is only lightly soiled and is missing all but one of the four center buttons. The jacket is purely an awesome garment from this guitar legend. Good condition. Estimate: $12,000 - $15,000.
